Green Build Hub
The Green Build Hub will be a unique research facility in Cornwall capable of demonstrating and testing the performance of innovative sustainable construction techniques and materials in a real building setting.
Green Build Hub is a development on the renowned Eden Project site showcasing the best in innovative sustainable building techniques.
These will include recycled tyre bales, structural foamed glass, super-insulators and emerging high performance renewable energy technology.
The centre will be engaged in active research, work in partnership with product and technique developers in the private sector. It aims to demonstrate all of this in an exciting and engaging manner to visitors from relevant institutions, academia, the industry itself and the visiting general public on the Eden Project site.
The Green Build Hub will consolidate the work of Cornwall Sustainable Building Trust in St Austell’s Clay Country, a priority area for the Programme, stimulating and supporting the development of SMEs in the green build and renewable energy sector.
Green Build Hub will also provide a unique and market led training site, where high level skills will be developed in the local area, supporting the aspiration for Cornwall & the Isles of Scilly to be at the forefront of green build and renewable energy sectors.
