150th anniversary of the Falmouth railway line

From Monday 19 August to Saturday 7 September come visit #FalmouthOnTrack: How the Railway Changed the Town, exhibiting in the Main Gallery. An exhibition of photographs and memorabilia from the RCPS history collection and friends to mark the 150th anniversary of the Falmouth railway line.

The Poly Local History and Research Group invite you to See early photographs of the town, Learn how the railway was built, Find out about the people involved and Discover how train transport changed the town.

There will also be the opportunity to view working models of early trains courtesy of Falmouth Model Railway Group.

Enhancing the Falmouth Branch Line through ERDF Convergence, with a passing loop at Penryn in order to facilitate a two per hour passenger train service during peak times between Truro and Falmouth has made it easier for people to access work and education opportunities.
